Tarta de pañales

¡Buenos días! Sé que un pastel de pañales no tiene mucho que ver con la temática de este blog, pero es que hace poco le dimos la bienvenida a un nuevo miembro de la familia, Pablo. Para ello decidí hacerle este regalo y quería compartirlo con vosotros por si a alguien le venía bien y quería ponerse manos a la obra, pero si no os atrevéis u os da mucha pereza, podéis pedírmelos a mí por encargo, que con mucho gusto y cariño os los haré.

Necesitáis:

• Pañales (70 aproximadamente)
• Base redonda, con papel de puntilla opcional / Bandeja para tartas
• Rollo de papel de cocina
• Gomas
• Cinta para decorar
• Grapas
• Regalos
• Papel celofán para envolver

Good morning! I know that a diaper cake has nothing to do with the theme of this blog, but a couple weeks ago we welcomed a new member of the family, Pablo. For that I decided to make this present and I wanted to share it with you in case anybody needed it and wanted to make one, but if you don´t think you can or don´t feel like it, you can order one from me, I will gladly make one with much love.

You will need:

• Diapers (70 approximately)
• Round surface, with white lacy paper optional / Tray for cakes
• Kitchen paper towel roll
• Elastic bands
• Ribbon to decorate
• Staples
• Gifts
• Cellophane paper

Cortamos de un cartón gordo que vaya a aguantar, una base redonda. En medio pegamos el rollo de cocina con celo. Al papel de puntilla le recortamos un círculo en medio del diámetro del rollo de cocina, y lo insertamos por este.

Out of a thick carton so it can support the weight, we cut a round surface. In the center we place the kitchen roll with scotch tape. We cut out a circle in the middle from the lacy paper with the same diameter of the roll, and we place the paper over it.

Enrollamos los pañales uno a unos y les vamos poniendo una gomita para que no se suelten. Si los enrollamos hacia dentro será mejor porque se quedarán blancos.

We roll the diapers one by one and we wrap them with an elastic band so they don´t unroll. If we wrap them towards the inside it´ll be better because we´ll have white rolls.

Empezamos a montar los pisos colocando los pañales en círculo y sujetándolos con una goma más grande o una cuerda.

We start building the layers putting the diapers in circles and tying them with a bigger elastic band or a cord. 

El segundo piso lo haremos más pequeño que el primero, y el último más todavía.

The second layer will be smaller than the first one, and the last one even more.

Como a mí me sobraban pañales, lo que hice fue colocar en el piso de abajo los pañales planos, sin enrollar, alrededor de los otros pañales. Esto podéis hacerlo o no.

Since I had extra diapers, what I did was put them flat, not rolled, around the ones in the bottom layer. You can do this or not.

Colocamos el lazo alrededor de cada piso y lo ataremos con grapas.

We place the ribbon around each layer and we tie it with staples.

Hacemos un bonito nudo de la lazo y lo colocamos sobre las grapas para que no se vean.

We make a nice bow tie and we put it over the staples so you can´t see them.

Ahora empezamos a decorar con los regales como queramos. Después lo envolvemos todo con el papel celofán, los atamos con un lacito y ¡Voilá! Tenemos la tarta hecha.

Now we start decorating with the gifts as we like. Then we wrap it all up with the cellophane paper, we tie it with a small ribbon and Voilá! We have our cake done.

Yo le hice un pequeño cartelito con su nombre y le escribí una dedicatoria dentro.
